The Imitation of Christ
by
Thomas a Kempis
This Devotional has really stood the test of time.
For more than 550 years, Christians have been turning to The Imitation of Christ for encouragement and instruction in the tenents of following Christ and seeking spiritual perfection.
The Imitation of Christ has been translated into more than 50 languages, and has been published in more than 6,000 editions. It is, perhaps, the second most published book in history -- second only to the Bible itself.
You will note that I'm providing you with a version of The Imitation of Christ from "The Catholic Primer." So . . . what's a good Baptist like me doing giving away Catholic literature? The Imitation of Christ is a book of universal truths. Don't worry about the publisher; concentrate of finding in this devotional the keys to your own spiritual growth.
I encourage you to download The Imitation of Christ and read it both carefully and prayerfully. It wouldn't hurt you to read one devotional section per day, followed by an hour of prayer and consideration as to just how you should react to it.
Thanks.
