What's This Site About, Anyway? And Who's Bill Johnson?
This is a Ministry to Christians Who Want To Grow Spiritually.
This site is my attempt to help Christians grow in their faith. I'm a Christian layman, living in Los Angeles, and working in a computer-related job in the real estate industry.

And I'm a Christian whose spiritual life had grown barren and cold because of a dearth of Bible study and prayer. Like many, I struggled to "find time" for prayer and Bible study. I didn't know how to "motivate myself" or where to go for help.
Finally, on the advice of a friend, I decided to immerse myself in just one book of the Bible, and seek all the wisdom I could find therein. I knew that if I was going to immerse myself in one book, it'd better be a short one. James has five chapters. I started there, reading the entire Book of James daily. I read a different translation every day. With 25 translations on hand (Click here to learn about e-Sword), it was nearly a month before I returned to the first one, and read it with new insight because of the other translations I'd been exposed to since the last time I read it. What joy!
Ya know what? God blessed my efforts to study James -- though at this point I wasn't actually studying it so much as just reading it. But God blessed my efforts, anyway.
Soon I decided to add another book. So I was reading one or another translation of James on even-numbered days, and a translation of Philippians (four chapters) on odd-numbered days.
And, hard though it may be to believe, God just kept right on blessing. And correcting, too. I could no longer pretend that God didn't care about my sins, just because He'd forgiven them. They were covered by The Blood; but they still caused Him pain, and sorrow that His kid wasn't living up to all that he could be and should be. But in with the correction, and the blessings, and the joy, and the pain, He has also provided guidance and opportunities to serve.
So, we come to this site. An encouragement to Bible study and prayer. I don't have all the answers (but God does); and I certainly wouldn't want to set myself up as an example to follow (but I encourage you to follow God). With God's help and guidance, I hope that this site will provide you with the tools and the motivation to grow spiritually, perhaps to lead others to Christ, or to lead others in Bible study or prayer cells.
There's nothing that you and God can't do together. And I hope you'll treat this site as a resource with tools you'll use for your own growth and ministry.
Thanks.
